Why 42?
A memorable, manageable shortlist. “The only 42 spots you need to know in DFW” is our invitation to start exploring, not a claim that no other restaurant deserves your time. The list is not a numbered quality ranking.
One thing to go for
Each profile suggests one dish from a sourced menu and explains the appeal. These are menu-based editorial suggestions, not claims that we tasted every dish or independently established a bestseller.
We read the reviews so you don’t have to
Where a review shortcut appears, we have read the cited small sample of independent criticism or diner reviews. We show the sample size, source dates, praise and supported caveats. We do not manufacture ratings or pretend a handful of comments represents everyone. Other profiles clearly say review research is still to come.
What two might spend
Where prices are checked, we show an exact suggested order and published menu subtotal. It is not a restaurant deal or a promise that everyone will be full. Tax, tip, fees and upgrades are extra; delivery and dine-in prices may differ.
Halal, with evidence
We distinguish restaurant statements, listed certification, partial-menu claims and information awaiting confirmation. We have not independently audited suppliers or kitchens. Ask the restaurant about the dishes and preparation that matter to you. Cuisine, ownership and halal status are different things.
Independent and complimentary
These launch food listings are complimentary. Future optional promotions, if offered, will be clearly labeled and will not purchase our recommendations or change factual evidence. We do not require a share or backlink for inclusion.
